Initial consultations take 60 minutes. During our first meeting I will hear what brought you to my office and what you are hoping to work on. I will ask questions to learn who you are as an individual, and you will have the opportunity to ask me questions as well. By talking together this way, we will get a sense of each other and whether our therapeutic match is a good one. At the end of the hour we will put our heads together to decide the next best step toward addressing your concerns and goals.
Ongoing therapy sessions are 50 minutes. The issues that bring you to my office, your goals and your life circumstances dictate the frequency of sessions. Deciding together how often we meet is part of the collaborative endeavor. Couples often want additional time to talk; 75-minute sessions can be scheduled if we agree longer sessions would be productive.
Fees vary according to treatment modality and frequency of sessions. Initial 60 minute consultations are $375, and ongoing 50 minute therapy sessions are $350.
Fees for couples sessions range from $375 for a full hour to $425 for 75 minute sessions. A mutually agreed upon fee for intensive psychoanalysis, which takes place multiple times during the week can be negotiated. I do not take insurance but I do provide monthly bills to submit to your insurance providers for out of network benefits.
Therapy is a bidirectional commitment. I will reserve a regularly scheduled time for you that will not vary, with the expectation that you will attend regularly. If you provide 24-hour notification for a cancelation or change in schedule I will not charge you. Otherwise, the hour will be billed at your regular fee.
I also provide supervision for mental health professionals. Fees for supervision vary depending upon what stage of career you are in. I reserve some time and reduced fees for early stage professionals.
Peer review is part of good therapy. When indicated, I will discuss my work with colleagues to ensure best practice. Confidentiality and anonymity will always be protected.
Please note: I am not accepting any new patients as of February 2022.
